iconic one

for grygon

When you look at him, you see sinew and bone. You see scratches and knuckles, hearty laughs and axe-blades. You like what you see.

It is something of a unique thing among your kind--not especially rare, as you've head stories of it since you were brought into being. You race values that which is completely unlike them. That is, some of you do. And you are one of those--caught by the turn of a rough-hewn blade, geometric patterns and fickle sensibilities. There are others who laud your people's clean lines and bright colours; and while you love these, they do not draw you.

There is some sense in it. You, after all, were chosen as adventurer; you were given the difficult journey of allying yourself with company your people had all but forgotten. It is only just that the solace you would find in that company would grow into appreciation, respect, and then naturally love. Of course it scares you; your people do not love easily, or with little care. You are too far removed from those who love without consideration to do so without question.

And so it is something to consider: what will you do once this journey is over? Will you pursue this thread of chance, and see where it leads? It is not an easy life, for one who loves not of his kind. But you have never chosen the easy path.
