Pete crawled up to Chloe, flopping onto his back and squinting at the star-studded sky. He scratched his stomach, then folded his hands beneath his head. They watched the sky in silence for a few minutes until Pete finally tunred to Chloe and said, "What are we doing here?"
Chloe shrugged. "I don't know. I just--it's so *boring* in Smallville! Nothing ever happens. Like, ever."
Pete grinned back at her. "Yeah, I know. This town should have more to say for it than 'the creamed corn capital.'"
"I wonder if anything could make this town more interesting," Chloe sighed.
