Clark is sleeping. Or at least he was, until a carefully trailed hand crept up his side, throwing him into consciousness. It takes all he has, which is considerable, to be still, though he senses that Lex knows he’s awake. There’s a dip in the mattress, and a sudden warmth blanketing him. Clark still hasn’t gotten used to the feel of hot breath marking his skin, but he knows that in time it will be something he comes to expect. That, more than anything, sends a thrill through him to his core--he is going to get used to this.
